Erin L. Jacobs and Gary L. Wortman, CPAs, PFSes, CFPs, with BKD Investment Advisors LLC, passed the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, also known as the Series 65 Examination. Jacobs also recently passed the Series 7 General Securities Representative Exam, the Series 24 General Securities Principal Exam and the Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam.
Locally owned Citizens National Bank has surpassed the $100 million mark in loans. The bank offers several types of loans, including commercial, SBA, consumer and mortgage loans.
The Springfield Chapter of Credit Unions collected more than 850 pounds of nonperishable food items for Ozarks Food Harvest during a food drive in June. Volunteers from the City Utilities Employees Credit Union, Community Financial Credit Union, Metro Credit Union, Postal Federal Community Credit Union, Southwest Teachers Credit Union and Springfield Telephone Employees Credit Union participated.
Missouri Employers Mutual Insurance, which has offices in Springfield, St. Louis and Kansas City, and headquarters in Columbia, won first place for its Web site, iNet, and second place for its radio advertising campaign, Show Me/We Will at the American Association of State Compensation Insurance Funds 2000 National Conference June 18-22.

Debbie Wood was named treasury services officer in Commerce Bank's treasury services division. She has 23 years of banking experience with Commerce and was responsible for the bank's merchant credit card program prior to her promotion. Wood's new duties include business development and customer service related to the bank's electronic banking products, and cash management services for commercial customers.
Sherry Lynch was promoted to financial services manager of Commerce Bank's location on the campus of SMSU. She has nine years of banking experience, serving as a financial services representative prior to her promotion. In her new position, Lynch is responsible for managing retail sales and customer service at the branch location.
