Baseball

The Springfield-Ozark Mountain Ducks added three new members to the front office staff. Gary Sarnoff joined the Ducks as director of business operations, Woody Schuler is the club's new sales manager and Tim Cleg joined the staff as a ticket sales representative. Clegg will oversee Price Cutter Park's new concessions operation. The club also announced a promotion. Shirley Jaeger was promoted from office manager to group sales coordinator.

Community

Donise Brown of Fair Grove was named Hero of the Year for 2003 by the Arthritis Foundation for raising the most money for the foundation during a recent seven-week campaign. As the winner, Brown received several prizes, including dinner at Mille's Cafe and a night at Tan-Tar-A resort at Lake of the Ozarks.

Girl Scouts of Dogwood Trails Council Inc. announced two staff additions.

Linda Perkins joined the council staff as fund development director. She has a degree in business administration from Emporia State University.

Sherry Wilson joined the staff as membership consultant. She has a degree in communications/public relations from Missouri Western State College. She previously worked at the Sooner Girl Scout Council in Chickasha, Okla.

Jewelry

Dan Gay joined the staff of Maxons Diamond Merchants as a certified gemologist appraiser. He is responsible for the appraisal and sale of jewelry and watches.

Finance

Springfield Trust Company announced two staff accomplishments.

Pauline Hoffman, vice president and trust officer, earned the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation. The CTFA is awarded to financial services professionals whose primary function and expertise focus on the provision of fiduciary services related to trusts, estate guardianships and individual asset management accounts.

Troy E. Kennedy, senior vice president and shareholder at Springfield Trust Company, attended the Association of Independent Trust Companies annual conference in San Diego.

Manufacturing

Mike Woodrum has been confirmed as the director of marketing for Monett-based Efco Corporation, a manufacturer of aluminum windows. He served as interim director of marketing for several months prior to the announcement. He is responsible for overseeing marketing operations as the company extends its reach into regions of the United States where it hasn't yet established a broad market share.

Real estate

Michelle Goddard joined Hogan Land Title Company as marketing coordinator. She has more than 10 years of experience in marketing, public relations and development. In her new position, Goddard is the marketing liaison between Hogan's title, escrow and construction disbursing operation and the local real estate community.
