Architecture

Todd Bolin, AIA, joined H Design Group as a project architect. Bolin holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Kansas and a drafting and design degree from SMSU. He also has more than 10 years of experience with a variety of projects.

Community

Commercial Club of Springfield elected Ron Walker of Walker Construction LLC to serve as 2004 president. Paul Parker of Collette Parker Restoration was elected vice president; John Simmons of Urban District Alliance and resident was elected secretary; and John Luce of Lohmeyer-Russell PC and resident was elected treasurer.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks has announced the addition of four new members to its board of directors. Jim Anton from ReGen Technologies, Jim Lambert from Missouri Insulation, David Foster from Foster and Associates, and Jeannie Horton from Layer 3 Technologies have each been elected to serve three-year terms.

Construction

Larry Snyder and Company announced two staff additions.

Cary Paschke was named director of business development for the company. Paschke has 18 years of experience in the construction industry and is involved in all aspects of the construction business, including sales and negotiations, estimating and project management.

Linda O'Brian was named project manager for Larry Snyder and Company. O'Brian's duties include assisting the company's project management team on a daily basis, as well as writing all contracts, tracking insurance and administrating Prolog Manager, the company's project management software program.

Health

Kevin S. Gipson was named Director of Health for Springfield-Greene County, succeeding retiring Director Harold Bengsch. Gipson has served as assistant director since April 2002, and is currently the 2004 president-elect of the Missouri Public Health Association.

Dr. Boyd Crockett and Dr. Cary Marquis, physicians in the Southwest Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic of CoxHealth, attended a seminar regarding the diagnosis and treatment of head, neck and upper extremity pain syndrome with an emphasis on female athletes. Crockett also attended the 20th annual Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Update presented by the University of Utah School of Physical Medicine and rehabilitation. The seminar focused on diagnosis and treatment of musculo-skeletal pain syndrome.

Neil Frost was named marketing director for St. John's Clinic. Frost previously worked for Noble and Associates. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing with emphasis in market management from SMSU.

Law

Brent D. Green, practicing attorney with Evans & Green Attorneys at Law, successfully completed the requirements for recertification in creditors' rights law by the American Board of Certification.

Springfield Attorney Johnnie Burgess was appointed chief prosecutor for the city of Springfield. Burgess has worked as a contract attorney for the City Prosecutors Office from 1999 to 2002 and was recently reemployed as a contract attorney. He also worked as legal counsel for the Missouri Department of Social Services in Springfield and served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Greene County from 1992 to 1998.

Movers

Thomas Hornbuckle, local operator of the Joplin franchise of Two Men and a Truck, received the Bronze Market Share Award for reaching a market share between 6 percent and 6.9 percent.

Technology

R. Bob Adams joined SLS International Inc. as director of technical communications. Adams has more than 35 years of experience in the sound system and acoustical design industry.
