The Vandivort Center Theatre raised $4,133 to benefit several organizations: Court Appointed Special Advocates; Family Violence Center of Springfield; Missouri Victim Center; Springfield Advocates for Youth and Wilson Creek Group Home; National V-Day Fund; and Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network. D. Eric McClure was appointed chairman-elect of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors by Gov. Bob Holden. McClure is Missouri commissioner of finance. He has previously served as acting commissioner, deputy commissioner and district supervisor in Springfield. McClure also has served as vice chairman and treasurer for the Conference of State Bank supervisors and chairman of the board of trustees for the Education Foundation for State Bank Supervisors.|ret||ret||tab|
Sean Prewitt, a financial advisor for American Express Financial Advisors Inc., earned the title of Chartered Financial Consultant after successful completion of an eight-part course. The course included studies in finance and insurance planning, retirement needs, investments, estate planning and income taxation. Prewitt also passed a comprehensive examination.|ret||ret||tab|
Roger Hoenes, CFP, CLU, ChFC, of Springfield, a financial associate with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, qualified for the organization's Summit Circle.
