Lee Gilbert, chairman and CEO of Mid-Missouri Bancshares Inc., was inducted into the 50-year club of the Missouri Bankers Association. Each year, the association recognizes its members who have given 50 years of service in the banking industry. Gilbert also is chairman and CEO of five other Mid-Missouri subsidiaries and of Central States Bancshares Inc. and First Financial Bancshares Inc. Cliff Davis was named vice president for institutional development at Ozarks Technical Community College. Davis holds bachelor of science and master of arts degrees in communications/public relations from SMSU, where he was employed for 13 years prior to joining OTC. Davis, a longtime member of the OTC Board of Trustees, resigned his seat on the board before seeking the position. |ret||ret||tab|

Sterling Huff Jr. was named to the Ozarks Technical Community College Board of Trustees, serving for the remainder of Davis' term, which is up for re-election in April 2006. Huff is a senior vice president of commercial lending with Empire Bank. Dr. Brian D. Rekus joined the internal medicine department of Ferrell-Duncan Clinic. He attended medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia and completed his residency at Emory University in Atlanta. Rekus is board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Kamil I. Hanna joined the cardiology department of Ferrell-Duncan Clinic. Hanna attended medical school at American University of Beirut, Lebanon, and did his residency at Mercer University in Macon, Ga. Hanna completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Arkansas and a fellowship in electrophysiology at the University of Oklahoma. Beimdiek Insurance Agency in Carthage announced several staff accomplishments. Steve Beimdiek, JoAnn Evans, Lorie Downing and Angela Heckart attended the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents' Leadership Conference, held July 21-23 at Lake of the Ozarks. Educational sessions focused on agency marketing and management issues, new innovations and health savings accounts. Summer Berry, commercial account executive with Beimdiek Insurance, completed the Certified Insurance Service Representatives Commercial Casualty and Insuring Personal Auto Exposures courses. The courses are two of the five parts of the CISR program offered by the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents. Dana Cain was named Senior Solutions coordinator for Southwest Missouri Office on Aging. Her position was created to implement Senior Solutions of Greene County Your First Call for Answers. Senior Solutions is funded by a $98,000 grant that was awarded by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks to SWMOA to develop collaborative partnerships with other agencies, as well as educational and marketing materials that help older adults and families find the information they need. Cain has 13 years of experience in the industry as senior center administrator, case manager and grant coordinator.|ret||ret||tab|

Carrie Mouse joined The Travel Group as a travel counselor. She previously had several years of experience at Emerald Travel and Northwest Airlink.
