Johan Mostert, DPhil, joined Assemblies of God Theological Seminary as an associate professor of community psychology. A native of Cape Town South Africa, Mostert came to the United States to earn a bachelor of science degree in psychology and classical languages, which he received in 1972 from Bethany College in Santa Cruz, Calif. He returned to South Africa and earned his doctorate in 1992 at the University of Pretoria. In South Africa, Mostert was pastor of several churches and was involved in faith-based and government welfare organizations. He also was an ordained minister with the Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa. He is a registered psychologist and social worker. Rural Missouri Inc., dba Resources for Missouri, has recorded its highest dollar amount in 21 years of delivering the U.S. Small Business Administration 504 Loan Program. RMI had 64 of the 504 loans approved, for a total of $28.8 million. This represents a 57 percent increase compared to RMI's $18.3 million in scal year 2003 loans. Nationally, the 504 Loan Program approved slightly more than $4 billion, which is the largest in the history of the program.|ret||ret||tab|

O&S Trucking announced several staff accomplishments. Lease-purchase driver Steve Moses was named O&S Driver of the Month for August and company driver Don Lewis was named O&S Driver of the Month for September. Moses has been with O&S since 2000; Lewis joined the company in 2001. To be nominated for driver of the month honors, drivers must meet certain criteria including no service failures, no accidents or incidents, no log violations and no maintenance issues. Winners automatically qualify to compete for the company's Driver of the Year Award.|ret||ret||tab|
The Missouri Motor Carriers Association held its annual convention and elected new ofcers Oct. 14-16 in Branson.
