The Signature Bank added Joseph Swisshelm as assistant vice president and commercial lender. Swisshelm, who has three years of banking experience, provides commercial loans at the bank’s new location, 3211 E. Battlefield. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Commerce Bank announced three promotions in its commercial division.
Mark Bybee was promoted to senior vice president and team leader of the commercial banking division. Bybee is responsible for managing the team’s business development goals and overseeing relationship management.
Scott Tumlin was promoted to vice president and commercial real estate lender. His responsibilities include developing and managing customer relationships related to the bank’s commercial real estate and residential construction lending products and services.
Byron Pierce was promoted to assistant vice president and commercial lender. He is responsible for business development and relationship management related to the bank’s full line of banking, borrowing and treasury management solutions.
Community
Queen City Sertoma Club installed new officers at its annual Awards & Installation Banquet. Local insurance agent Christy Garcia was installed as the new president. Other officers are: Kathy Staudt, president-elect; Karen Porterfield, vice president; Gail Maschino, secretary; Sharon Hill, treasurer; and Debra Shelton, sergeant-at-arms. Outgoing President Jenny Jensen also received the club’s annual Sertoman of the Year Award.
Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri hired Heather Fann as director of development in its Springfield office. She is a Missouri State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in mass media and journalism.
Education
Southwest Baptist University named Cindy Rice as director of scholarship development. Rice serves as liaison between those who establish scholarships at the university, the university scholarship committee and students applying for private scholarships.
SBU Director of Estate Planning Steve Whisler was a presenter at a breakout session during the Association of Southern Baptist Colleges and Schools’ annual conference in North Charleston, S.C. He presented “Strategic Planning in Church Relations.”
MSU geography, geology and planning professor Kevin Mickus is taking part in a multiyear study exploring the four-dimensional structure of the North American continent. The study is part of the EarthScope Project sponsored by the National Science Foundation.
Finance
Mid-Missouri Mortgage Co. hired Teresa McCammon as a mortgage loan officer. McCammon has more than 15 years of mortgage lending and title insurance experience.
Health Care
Charles Wollard, vice president of cardiovascular services for St. John’s Health System, will retire Aug. 25. He joined the health system in 1971 as chief perfusionist in the cardiopulmonary lab. He became supervisor in 1973 and was added to the administrative team as vice president in 1988.
Hospitality
Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa and Convention Center hired Jennifer McCullough as its public relations consultant. She served as director of public relations for the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau for two years before launching her own consulting company in May. Jennifer McCullough Marketing & PR has clients in the fields of property development, insurance and live entertainment.
Insurance
James Wollard, an Allstate Insurance Co. agent in Springfield, received the company’s Agency Hands in the Community award, which recognizes outstanding commitment to community service. As part of the recognition, The Allstate Foundation is making a $500 donation to Angel Food Ministries, for which Wollard is a volunteer.[[In-content Ad]]
