Brenda Van Eps and Kathe Bruton of Butler, Rosenbury & Partners recently earned designations as registered interior designers after meeting the education, experience and examination requirements set by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. Van Eps and Bruton have been with Butler, Rosenbury for more than eight years.
Education
Wendy Anderson, associate professor of biology at Drury University, was named co-project investigator on a $249,000 National Science Foundation grant. The grant, titled Research Coordination Network to Study Seabird Islands and Introduced Predators, brings together ecologists and conservation biologists who have been working to determine if difference in ecosystems are due to climactic factors, human impact or the presence of introduced seabird predators.
Health Care
Dr. Geoffery Stanczyk joined St. John’s Clinic-Ob/Gyn-Smith Glynn Callaway. Stanczyk, who completed his medical education and residency in obstetrics and gynecology and women’s health at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
Dr. Hugh Lundman, a surgeon with St. John’s Clinic, received a three-year appointment as cancer liaison physician for St. John’s Cancer Center program. Cancer liaison physicians are an integral part of cancer programs approved by the College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
Shelley White joined the St. John’s Medical Library Department as primary librarian at the Van K. Smith Community Health Library located in the St. John’s Cancer Center. White joined St. John’s from the Springfield-Greene County Library, where she was a member of the reference department.
Law
Jeffrey S. Howell joined the Missouri State Medical Association as its director of legal affairs. He assists in lobbying efforts and conducts legal research. Previously, Howell was a criminal defense attorney in Indianapolis and earned his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He also worked as the field services director for MSMA from 1995–1997.
Trade
The Greater Ozarks International Trade Association announced its board of directors for 2007. Board officers are: President Bill Owen, UMB Bank; Vice President Loretta Wallis, Brewer Science; Treasurer Elmer Selim, Whitlock, Selim & Keehn; and Secretary Jeanette Fitzpatrick, Marisol International.
