Whitlock, Selim & Keehn LLP added two members to its staff. Lizzie Arnold joins the firm as banking group, marketing coordinator. She has bachelor’s degrees in communication and journalism from Missouri State University. Shelley Lantz joined WSK as an audit manager. She has more than 15 years of experience providing assurance and consulting services to a variety of industries. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from MSU.

Davis, Lynn & Moots PC added two members to its staff. Robyn Gall joined the firm as a staff accountant. She’s a graduate of Missouri State University and performs tax services. Colleen Jarrett joined the firm as a receptionist; she was previously employed by Tri-Lakes Express.

Architecture

Sarah Campbell joined the marketing support team at Butler, Rosenbury & Partners as the marketing and graphics assistant. Campbell, a 2006 graduate of Drury University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in advertising, design arts and public relations, aids the firm in business development and graphic design.

Banking

Mary Jensen celebrated 35 years of employment with Guaranty Bank. Jensen joined the company, then called Guaranty Federal Savings and Loan, in 1972 as an insurance agency clerk. She is currently a loan officer, though she is also a licensed insurance agent, a certified financial consultant and has served as president of Guaranty Federal Service Corp.

Kim Cash joined Peoples Bank of the Ozarks as branch operations manager at the Highway CC and Main Street location in Nixa. Cash has 11 years of experience in the banking industry.

Carlye Wannenmacher joined Guaranty Bank as director of marketing. Wannenmacher is responsible for developing and implementing the bank’s marketing plan, including market research, advertising and public relations. She has more than 10 years of marketing management and public relations experience, and she has a Bachelor of Journalism degree in advertising from University of Missouri-Columbia.

Community

The city of Ozark received a $9,140 grant from the federal Historic Preservation Fund. The money, which will be used to complete a National Register of Historic Places nomination for a historic district on the city’s downtown Courthouse Square, is part of a federal matching grant program.

Electrical

Dave Loftin, project manager for Brawner & Associates, received certification as an entertainment electrician. The new certification involves taking an exam on electrical issues in the professional entertainment industry after meeting work experience qualifications.

Government

Springfield City Council approved several appointments to city boards and commissions. Jeanette Heifner joined the Board of Adjustment, with a term to expire in 2012. Charles W. Ladd Jr. is the newest member of the Industrial Development Authority, with a term to expire in October 2011. Five new members were appointed to the Mayor’s Commission for Children: Becky Spain, Patricia Martin, Sandy Howard, James Sammon and Morey Mechlin. Their terms expire in November.

Law

Blackwell Sanders Peper Martin LLP elected S. Shawn Whitney as a partner. Whitney joined the firm’s Springfield office in 2003 as an associate in the real estate department.

He has a juris doctorate from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and previously was an associate with Shughart Thomson & Kilroy PC.
