Ozark Family YMCA in Mountain Grove received $232,064 in Neighborhood Assistance Program tax credits from the Missouri Department of Economic Development. The credits will be utilized for after-school care for youth and services to residents 55 or older.
The Nixa Fire Protection District received $2,500 as part of the TargetSafety Online Training Grant. The department will receive one year of TargetSafety online training, covering terrorism, driving safety, human resources, homeland security and hazardous materials.

Springfield certified public accountants William W. Miller Jr., Randal J. Renkel and James M. Lewis received awards at Genworth Financial Investment Services’ national convention in June in Washington, D.C. Genworth recognized the CPAs as professionals committed to financial services and client solutions.
Food and Beverage
Springfield-based Premium Beverage Sales received the Miller Gold Award from Miller Brewing Co. The award is given to Miller distributors who outperform the national sales average standards and produce double-digit growth in Miller’s portfolio.
Steak-Out Char-Broiled Delivery of Springfield received the National Sales Award for the fifth consecutive year. The award is given to Steak-Out operators whose restaurants are among the top five in royalty sales. Steak-Out has 70 locations in 18 states.

Dr. Andy J. Wright joined Doctors Hospital of Springfield. Wright received his doctorate degree in medicine from Louisiana State University and is board-certified in both obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. James E. Bureman, Springfield optometrist and physician at Bradford Place Surgery and Laser Center, was named to the state Board of Optometry. Bureman received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Central Methodist College and a doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry. [[In-content Ad]]
