Banking

Metropolitan National Bank promoted Justin Cox, Travis Bell and Renee Jenkins, and hired Kent Welch. Cox is vice president of lending at the bank’s Marshfield Spur facility. Bell is assistant vice president of lending at the Nixa banking center, and Jenkins is the bank’s loan servicing supervisor. Welch, who joins the bank Nov. 26, is vice president/director of information technology.

Construction

Four Seasons Sunsational Sunrooms in Springfield hired Darin Ohern and Richard Koppitz, and promoted Jerry Baggett. Ohern, Koppitz and Baggett are senior design consultants. Ohern has more than 15 years of customer service and construction experience. Koppitz has more than eight years of construction industry experience and was executive director of Boys and Girls Club in Springfield for 18 years. Baggett was previously responsible for scheduling and coordinating trade shows and events.

Health Care

Scott George, president and CEO of Mid-America Hearing Center, attended the International Hearing Society Annual Convention and Exposition in Reno, Nev. George serves on the IHS Board of Directors, chairs the IHS federal Regulatory Strategy Committee and is president of the Missouri Hearing Society. IHS is the professional association for hearing instrument specialists.

Crighton, Olive and Dunn Surgical Group Inc. achieved accreditation and recognition by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories. The firm is one of a select number of vascular laboratories in the United States and Canada to meet or exceed the ICAVL’s standards for noninvasive vascular testing.

Zen 3 Bodywork Studio announced that Marianne Stanley, licensed massage therapist, earned certificates in Oncology Massage: Eastern Medical Perspective and in Oncology Setting: Hospital Intensive through the Peregrine Institute of Oncology Massage Training. Stanley specializes in massage for cancer patients. Zen 3 also hired licensed esthetician Elle Feldman.

Marketing

The Gardens Independent and Assisted Living promoted Andrew McCormick, Connie Garrison and Shelly Climer. McCormick, a four-year employee, was promoted to administrator from marketing director. Garrison, who has been with the company for more than two years, was promoted to marketing director from executive assistant. Climer, a five-year employee, was promoted to executive assistant from receptionist.

Pharmaceutical

Family Pharmacy owner Lynn A. Morris qualified as a fellow of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists. ASCP Fellowship is given to pharmacists who meet standards in senior care pharmacy.

Public Speaking

Executive coach Cal LeMon was the guest speaker at an Oct. 12 leadership forum sponsored by Evangel University’s Students in Free Enterprise. In the session, “Forgiveness as a Business Strategy,” LeMon discussed how focusing on the discipline of forgiveness can make a dysfunctional workplace healthy and profitable.

Transportation

John Hancock and Jim O’Neal were elected to lead the Missouri Motor Carriers Association for 2007–08 at the association’s annual convention in Overland Park, Kan. Prime Inc.’s Hancock was elected as first vice chairman, and O&S Trucking Inc.’s O’Neal was elected alternate ATA vice president.
