J. Howard Fisk was elected as 2008 chairman of the Advisory Committee for Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. The committee advises on marketing and advancing of the center. Fisk has been involved with the organization for more than 20 years.
Banking
Guaranty Bank added Lance Pearce to its commercial lending team as senior vice president of lending for Christian County. Pearce has 15 years of underwriting experience. He previously served as a vice president of lending for Peoples Bank in Nixa and graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration.
Metropolitan National Bank added Janet Weber as vice president of the newly created private banking division. Weber has 15 years of banking experience, including her recent stint as a Regions Bank vice president. She is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University and the American Bankers Association School of Bank Marketing and Management.
Metropolitan also promoted four employees. Jerry Bryant is senior vice president and area loan manager at the bank’s Nixa branch. Kay Burks is vice president of technology services and oversees the bank’s online products from its Battlefield location. Lacey Reed is loan officer at the bank’s Golden City branch. And Mary Orman is loan officer at the Branson West location.
Community
Crystal Hartin, loan officer at Peoples Bank of the Ozarks, was appointed chairman of the board for the Mid-America Chapter, Southwest Missouri Branch, of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Board of Directors. Hartin has volunteered for the organization for four years and is in her second year on the board.
Construction
Richard Alling joined DeWitt and Associates Inc. as director of preconstruction services. Alling has a degree in construction management and more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry as an estimator and project manager. Projects on which he’s worked include portions of Branson Landing, Branson Convention Center and Ozark North Elementary School.
Engineering
Colvin Jones Davis LLC hired Nathan Riley as a project mechanical and electrical engineer. Riley, an engineer in training, has a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Kansas State University.
Colvin Jones Davis engineer-in-training Jacob Nelson received Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design professional accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council. He is a project mechanical and electrical engineer.
Jared Rasmussen, associate engineer on Olsson Associates’ Springfield land development team, passed the professional engineering exam. Requirements include four years of professional experience under a licensed professional engineer and passing the PE exam.
Aquaterra Environmental Solutions was named to the Hot Firm 200 for 2007 by Zweig White Information Services. The list identifies the 200 fastest-growing U.S. architecture, engineering and environmental consulting firms.
Finance
Chris Curtis joined Springfield Trust and Investment Co. as assistant vice president and portfolio manager. Curtis provides financial analysis and develops industrial strategies. Curtis is a former Edward Jones financial adviser with a marketing management degree from Missouri State University.
Insurance
Drew and Dan Burns and Chance Potts of Employee Benefit Design attended a national conference hosted by the United Benefit Advisors, an alliance of independent benefit advisory firms. Potts led a breakout session on health savings accounts at the conference, which featured attendees from the nation’s 150 largest employee benefit firms.
Several employees of American National Property and Casualty received the chartered property casualty underwriter designation from the Insurance Institutes of America.

Logistics company Premier Truck Group is building a new truck sales and repair facility in Strafford, using precast contract, metal framing, thermoplastic polyolefin roofing and standing-seam metal in its construction.
