BKD LLP announced several promotions. Wyatt B. Jenkins and Brett B. Ruether were promoted to senior accountant. Both have bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Missouri State University.
Stephanie A. Moser, Benjamin M. Stone and Waylon W. Wood were promoted to supervisor. Moser, a member of the financial services and not-for-profit and government groups, has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Drury University. Stone, a member of the manufacturing and distribution group and the real estate team, has degrees from Drury in business administration and accounting. Wood, a member of the not-for-profit and government group and the manufacturing and distribution group, has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from MSU.
Sally R. Phillips was promoted to supervising consultant. Phillips has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is a member of BKD’s health care group.
Davis, Lynn & Moots PC added two employees and promoted three others. Shawna Plummer and Sandra Barrera joined the company as staff accountants. Plummer is an MSU graduate and performs tax services, while Barrera is a University of Wisconsin graduate and performs audit services. The company promoted Jon Cummings to audit manager, Wayland Mueller to audit senior and Jennifer Schatzer to audit in-charge.

ADsmith Communications promoted Celeste Skidmore to executive vice president. Her duties include business management, human resources and staff supervision. She also retains her duties in the company’s account services department. Skidmore has been with ADsmith since 2006, having previously spent 25 years at Journal Broadcast Group in management, accounting, sales, promotions and event coordination.

Stephanie Baldwin joined Commerce Bank’s Springfield region as a small-business banking specialist. She is responsible for implementing and developing initiatives to advance the bank’s small-business banking products. She has five years of experience in business development and is a chamber ambassador for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce.
Community
The city of Springfield selected Robin Melton, owner and president of Environmental Works Inc., to serve a three-year term on the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks Board. She previously served as a member of the steering committee for the Watershed Center at Valley Water Mill. The committee’s board comprises three citizen appointees representing the respective sponsors and three at-large positions.
Bolivar Area Chamber of Commerce announced its 2008 board members. Roxy Hudson of Hutcheson-Coker Real Estate is board president.
