Rotary Club of Springfield installed its 2008–09 officers and board members. Paul Reinert of Integrity Home Care is president; Tamara de Wild of Lathrop & Gage is president-elect; Terry Breazeale of Sturhahn Breazeale & Co. is treasurer; and Kim Nash of Great Southern Bank is secretary. Board members are Aaron Jones, Jan Horton, Nancy Brown Dornan, Mike White and Morey Mechlin.
The city of Fair Grove received a $500,000 grant through the state Clean Water Initiative to build a second oxidation ditch, sludge tank and new ultraviolet light disinfection system. The $1.64 million project is scheduled for completion in July.
Health Care
Dr. Daniel Metsch joined the office of Dr. Lynette Robbins at CoxHealth Pediatrics. Metsch attended medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Rutgers Medical School, and completed his residency with the University of California at Irvine. He is board-certified in pediatrics and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Rudolph Fajardo joined Springfield Inpatient Physicians as a hospitalist, where he will see patients hospitalized at CoxHealth. He attended medical school at Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, and completed his residency in internal medicine/pediatrics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center Program.
Dr. Ryan Norman joined Ferrell-Duncan Clinic as a nephrologist. Norman earned his medical degree from the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency with the Tulsa Regional Medical Center OSU Internal Medicine Residency program. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Internists.
Bob Patterson, director of emergency medical services for St. John’s Health System, received the Emergency Medical Services Administrator of the Year award at the annual Missouri Emergency Medical Services Associations Combined Clinical Conference. The award is presented to an administrator who has significantly contributed to EMS at the local and state levels.
Cox Sleep Disorders Center at CoxHealth received five-year program reaccreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The accreditation process involves detailed inspection of a center’s facility and staff, including an evaluation of testing procedures, patient contacts and physician training.
Law
Susan S. Jensen of Pratt, Fossard, Jensen & Masters LLC was named a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Criteria for admission to the academy include 10 years as a practicing attorney on the bar, an expert practitioner in matrimonial law and substantial trial experience in custody matters, child support, division of property, alimony or spousal support.
Real Estate
John Schnoebelen joined R.B. Murray Co.’s sales and leasing team. He has more than 15 years of experience in commercial real estate, including urban redevelopment and new business startups. He is also a recipient of the Gold Medal Award of Excellence from the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors.
Jill Carr joined R.B. Murray as a commercial real estate salesperson focused on office and retail business. Carr, a certified public accountant, has worked with a variety of property types including warehouses, land and new investment developments. She previously worked in contract negotiations and commercial leases with Whitlock, Selim & Keehn.
Jeff Hays also joined R.B. Murray as a commercial salesperson. He has 10 years of commercial real estate experience, most recently with MetLife Real Estate Investments in Dallas.
Sales
Reliable Toyota received the 2007 Toyota Motor Sales President’s Award, presented to a small group of dealerships across the country. It’s the sixth year for Reliable to win the award.
Technology
Steve Counts, president of Springfield-based Digital Print Ink, attended the 2008 Xerox Direct Marketing Thought Leadership Workshop in Rochester, N.Y.
