The Springfield Regional Arts Council hired Stephanie Cramer as its education coordinator. Cramer, who recently returned to her native Springfield after working as a professional artist in the Northeast, graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelor's degree in art education.
Energy
Patti Penny of Penmac Personnel Services was named a council co-chair of Missourians for a Balanced Energy Future. The nonpartisan statewide group promotes clean, dependable and economical energy supplies, including nuclear power.
Finance
Arvest Bank appointed Scott Tarwater and Emily Fox to its Springfield board of directors. Tarwater is executive vice president of John Q. Hammons Hotels and Resorts and has more than 30 years of hotel sales, marketing, operations and development experience. Fox is CEO of Discovery Center of Springfield and previously worked as a staff analyst and mortgage lender at Interfirst Bank in Dallas.
Health Care
J. Cameron Littlefield, a speech language pathologist from Citizens Memorial Hospital Rehabilitation Services, attended the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association National Convention in Chicago and presented his research project, "Direct Laryngeal Manipulation Techniques: A Survey of Teachers of Singing," about digital techniques for rehabilitative voice care. Littlefield, who has had a career as a professional singer and voice instructor, provides voice, swallowing, speech and cognitive therapies at CMH.
Manufacturing
Mike Gerke was promoted to senior vice president and chief operating officer for American Dehydrated Foods Inc., International Dehydrated Foods Inc. and Food Ingredients Technology Co. LLC. Gerke, a 20-year employee most recently serving as vice president of manufacturing and engineering, graduated from of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in agricultural engineering.

Steve Mirowski of Mirowski Inspections LLC received Level-II thermographer status. Mirowski, who is certified by the American Society of Home Inspectors, has been inspecting properties since 2000 to owners and facilities managers make long-term plans for roof maintenance, repair and investment.
Technology
Chris Huels of Jmark Business Solutions was certified LeftHand Networks SAN/iQ to work on LeftHand Networks latest computer systems. Huels has been a client care representative with Jmark since January 2008 and was promoted in July 2008 to leader of Team Bravo, which accounts for one-third of the service department.
