Elliott, Robinson & Co. LLP hired and promoted several employees. Matt Solidum, with the company since 2002, was promoted to manager. Solidum helps clients audit retirement plans and trains Elliott, Robinson & Co. auditing staff. Amanda West was promoted to supervisor. She works in the fraud services division and is involved with nonprofit organizations' audits and multistate tax work. Jacob Sanders was named a supervisor after five years with the company. He specializes in individual and corporate income tax, as well as cost-certification audits for Historic Preservation Tax Credit applications. Kevin Yount was promoted to senior staff accountant. With the firm since January 2006, he is pursuing certification in business valuation and assists clients with 401(k) audits and administration. Aaron Schwartz, a two-year Elliott, Robinson employee, was promoted to senior accountant. He helps clients prepare nonprofit and for-profit audits, corporate and individual tax returns, payroll tax returns and financial statements. Jennifer Phillips was hired as staff accountant. She has a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's of accountancy degree from Missouri State University.

Elliott, Robinson & Co. also added three interns: Kevin Stewart, a 2004 University of Central Missouri graduate pursuing a master's degree at MSU; Andy Robinson, a 2008 MSU accounting graduate; and Kyle Thompson, a 2008 MSU accounting graduate pursuing a master's degree.

Landscaping

Nolan Hardison of Dream Grower Plants was awarded Interionscape Magazine's 2009 Best Project Award for his interior plantscaping at St. John's Patient Tower. The competition showcased plant installations from across the nation.

Nonprofit

Larry Leek was appointed to executive director of the newly formed Springfield Workshop Foundation. Leek has more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management and financial development.

Primaris added MSU psychology and gerontology professor Bradley Fisher to its board of directors. Columbia-based Primaris serves as Missouri's Medicare Quality Improvement Organization.

Transportation

The Ozarks Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers awarded CJW Transportation Consultants LLC the 2008 Transportation Achievement Award for a private company.

vThe award recognized CJW design projects including the Glenstone Avenue and Primrose Street intersection improvements, and CoxHealth System's planning and design services.
