Nathan Rapp, architect and project manager for Creative Ink Architects, passed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design professional accreditation exam for new construction.

Banking

Lelia Voss was promoted to vice president of commercial lending at U.S. Bank. Voss has been with U.S. Bank for nine years in Chicago and Minnesota, serving most recently as assistant vice president. She serves commercial and municipal clients in Springfield, Rogersville, Republic, Ozark and Nixa.

Community

Habitat for Humanity of Springfield elected new board members: Jamie Esch, Bank of America; Erica Frazier, Chase Bank; Richard Goodman, Beaman Electric; Shanda Logsdon, Ozark Anesthesia; Michael Mihalevich, Killian Construction Co.; Michal Moss Early, Arvest Bank; and Andrew Wells, Dake-Wells Architecture.

Construction

Star Building Systems presented Morelock-Ross Builders with a 2008 Top 10 Award and a President's Club Award for cumulative sales volume achievements. Morelock-Ross has sold more than $20 million in Star products since becoming a Star Builder in 1982.

The Ozark Mountain Chapter of the Appraisal Institute installed President Kelly Trimble of Branson, Secretary Cynthia S. Baldwin and Vice President Skip Sage, both of Springfield. The chapter is one of nearly 100 Appraisal Institute chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Health Care

The CoxHealth Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Care Center earned a three-year hyperbaric facility accreditation from the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society. The CoxHealth program was established in 1999 to provide comprehensive wound and hyperbaric services, which are used to treat diabetic ulcers, trauma-related injuries, carbon monoxide poisoning and other medical conditions. The CoxHealth center is the first in the state to earn this accreditation.

Buzbee Dental hosted a Patterson Dental Cerec Study Club meeting with guest presenter James Klim, an international speaker and teacher of advanced esthetic dentistry. Klim's presentation was on advances in Cerec technology, a computer-aided system for fabrication of ceramic dental fillings, crowns and veneers.

Springfield Neurological and Spine Institute neurosurgeon Edwin J. Cunningham was certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery.

To become certified, he performed a 12-month neurosurgery internship, completed 60 months of neurosurgery residency, passed a written exam, presented a 100-patient case log to the board for review and passed an oral exam on neurological diagnosis, management and outcomes of surgical and medical diseases.

Tourism

Sen. Jack Goodman, R-Mount Vernon, was appointed to the Missouri Tourism Commission, which influences tourism policy, promotions and legislation.

Larry E. White of Le Cave Vineyards in Billings was elected president of Ozark Mountain Region Wine Trail LLC. Brian Overboe of Oovvda Winery was selected as the organization's vice president, and Beth White of Le Cave Vineyards was chosen as secretary and treasurer.
