Jim Walton joined Wannenmacher Advertising Co., working in account services. Walton, who has experience in Web design, social networking and search engine marketing, previously was director of sales for Sygna Technology LLC.

Chad Harris returned to advertising and marketing agency The Team Inc. as director of client development. His responsibilities include account supervision and acquiring new business for the firm. He was an account executive for The Team five years ago, when Harris left to work at Noble & Associates. He has 10 years of industry experience and has worked with national accounts such as Tyson, Burger King and Otis Spunkmeyer.

Banking

Arvest Bank hired Robin Schilling as mortgage loan officer at its Republic Road branch. During her nine years of mortgage lending experience, Schilling was a top producer at OakStar Bank for more than three years. She holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and business from the University of Michigan-Flint.

Broadcasting

Dave Taylor was named general manager for KWFC Radio, a 100,000-watt Christian radio station owned by Baptist Bible College. Taylor, a former pastor who has been assistant station manager for five years, also worked at KWFC in 1984 as a college student.

Community

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks added Greg Clift, Anna Whitaker and Brooke Bigham to its board of directors. Clift, president and founder of PC Net, will focus on fundraising and technology. Whitaker, a sales associate for Healthmedx Inc., brings organizational skills and community resources to the board. Bigham, a senior registered client associate at Morgan Stanley Layman Group, helps with community contacts and event planning.

The Arc of the Ozarks hired Nate Reed as special events coordinator. Reed was a member of the award-winning Students in Free Enterprise team at Drury University, where he earned bachelor's degrees in marketing and criminology.

Springfield Workshop Foundation appointed Emily Kembell to its board of trustees. Kembell is an associate at Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown PC in the estate planning practice group. The foundation was formed this year to support Springfield Workshop, which offers employment to more than 230 handicapped and disabled workers.

Education

The Missouri Colleges Fund received a $16,000 donation from Novus International in O'Fallon, to provide $1,000 scholarships for science majors at 16 MCF member schools, including Drury and Evangel universities.

Government

Dr. Nancy D. O'Reilly of Rogersville was appointed by Gov. Jay Nixon to serve on the State Committee of Psychologists for a term ending Aug. 28, 2011. She is a clinical psychologist, managing member of O'Reilly Health and Wellness Consultation Services and founder of the WomenSpeak Project. The committee licenses qualified psychology professionals and enforces standards for practitioners to protect the public.

Jim Baker of Ozark was appointed by Gov. Jay Nixon to the Missouri Technology Corp., which provides access to global technologies for Missouri businesses and residents and advises the Missouri Department of Economic Development and the governor about related business development opportunities. Baker is vice president of research and economic development for Missouri State University. His appointment is for a term that ends Oct. 1, 2013.

Health Care

CoxHealth affiliate Oxford HealthCare received a $12,000 grant from the Greene County Senior Citizens' Services Fund Board to continue to provide Lifeline medical alert services to low-income seniors in southwest Missouri.

Insurance

Victoria Kelsey joined New York Life as recruiting coordinator. She has a bachelor's degree in English literature/education from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego.

Technology

Chris Reynolds, co-owner of Springfield-based Intuitive Web Solutions, spoke in September at the National Association of Mutual Insurance Cos.' conference in Atlanta. Reynolds participated in the technology panel, speaking about emerging technology for farm mutual insurance companies.

Paperwise Inc. promoted Beverly Baker to chief of operations. She previously served the company as controller. Heather Woody joined PaperWise Inc. as controller. A certified public accountant, she previously worked as manager of capital planning at O'Reilly Automotive Inc. Fletcher Bumpus and Alex Hertzog joined PaperWise as software developers. Bumpus has more than 18 years of experience in software development, and Hertzog has more than six years of experience, previously serving as a programmer analyst at Associated Electric Cooperative Inc.[[In-content Ad]]
