Evangel University assistant professor  and licensed professional counselor Alina Lehnert led strengths-based leadership training at Mercy Ministries in Nashville, Tenn, teaching staff and residents how to discover their strengths using Strengths Finder material. Lehnert, who has taught at Evangel since 2002, has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Evangel, a master’s in counseling from Missouri State University and a Doctor of Philosophy in organizational leadership from Regent University.

Rhonda Christopher joined BKD Wealth Advisors as a managing adviser. Christopher assists families, trustees and companies with retirement, tax education, and estate and insurance planning. She earned a bachelor’s degree from MSU and is a certified government financial manager and member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Patrick Griffin joined Fortner Insurance Services, specializing in commercial insurance and helping clients manage risk exposure. Griffin has 32 years of experience and most recently was a broker with Rich & Cartmill Inc.

Carol Muldrow joined Fortner Insurance Services as personal lines agent. She is licensed in property, casualty, life and health insurance and has 14 years of experience.
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney financial adviser Ryan Groose became a certified financial planner. He has five years of financial services experience and earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business from College of the Ozarks.

Davis, Lynn & Moots promoted staff accountants Shawna Plummer and Matt Wallace. Plummer is in charge of tax services, and Wallace is in charge of audit services.

Government
Sen. Gary Nodler, R-Joplin, received the Missouri Association of Veterans Organization’s Legislator of the Year Award. Nodler served in the U.S. Army and Missouri National Guard as a member of the 203rd Engineers Battalion in Pierce City and Joplin.

Health Care
Cox College instructor Carol Kramme was elected to the Missouri Foundation for Health’s Community Advisory Council. She received her nursing degree from Southwest Baptist University and is working on her master’s in nursing. SMC Packaging Group’s Randy Bachus is vice president and SMC’s Ron Thomas is secretary/treasurer of MFH.

Ozarks Community Hospital received accreditation by the Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists.

Restaurant
Craig Fetter was promoted to director of operations for Panera Bread’s southwest Missouri and Arkansas markets. Fetter, a 13-year Panera Bread employee, is responsible for 12 restaurants in Springfield, Joplin, Branson, Little Rock, Ark., and northwest Arkansas.

Sales
Vista, Calif.-based Hot Springs Spas named Springfield Pool and Spa its Territory 6 Dealer of the Year for 2009. The award is given for outstanding sales and service during the year.[[In-content Ad]]
