Bryan Newberry was hired as Battlefield Fire District chief. The former assistant chief of prevention for Nixa Fire District served in the U.S. Marine Corps and has an associate’s degree in fire science and a bachelor’s in business administration from Columbia College. Newberry is a member of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program.

Missouri Rep. Bob Dixon received the Missouri Alliance for Arts Education Legislator of the Year Award March 16 for his work on behalf of fine arts education.

Health Care
Dr. Susan Graves joined CoxHealth Center Republic. Graves is board-certified in family medicine, attended medical school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed the Cox Family Medicine Residency program.

Dr. Robert Halterman joined CoxHealth Gynecology Clinic of Monett. Halterman earned his degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed his residency at Ohio University, Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine and the Cleveland Clinic. He is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

Chris Breite, health care planner in CoxHealth’s marketing and planning department was named a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

MRI of Springfield received a three-year term of accreditation in magnetic resonance imaging from the Reston, Va.-based American College of Radiology.

Insurance
Ollis & Co. won the Small Business Commerce Association’s 2009 Best of Business Award in the insurance agency category, based on monthly SBCA surveys and consumer rankings and reports.

Nonprofit
Pat Davis is director of operations for Christian Action Ministries. She has taken on the position as a volunteer. Davis has experience with CAM as a volunteer, board member and member of the board of representatives.

Ozarks Food Harvest named its 2010-12 board officers: president, Bob Lawson, Jr., BKD LLP; vice president, Todd Sherman, Kraft Foods; secretary, Tamara de Wild, O’Reilly Auto Parts; and treasurer, Mike Pinkston, Bank of America.

Real Estate
Lin Hill, associate at Keller Williams Realty of Greater Springfield, was chosen from 74,000 member agents to receive the Cultural Ambassador Award from Keller Williams Realty International.
