BancorpSouth Inc. was recognized by financial services consulting firm Greenwich Associates with two regional customer-satisfaction awards based on interviews with customers. The Greenwich Excellence Awards were given in the small-business category and national businesses with annual sales of $10 million to $500 million.

Aaron Jernigan, director of mortgage lending at OakStar Bank, was ranked No. 45 among top mortgage originators in the country by national research firm Scotsman Guide. Jernigan closed 385 home loans in 2009 to earn the ranking. He also placed 90th on the dollar-volume ranking list, generating $79.8 million in 2009.

Gene Barnes is OakStar Bank’s new director of mortgage operation. Responsibilities include daily operations, postclosing and assisting with underwriting mortgage loans. Barnes has 22 years of mortgage experience. Most recently, he worked at AWS, a service company for disabled individuals, and served as president and CEO of the Arc of the Ozarks. He has a Master of Administration from Southwest Baptist University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Missouri Southern State University.

Health Care
Dr. Benjamin Lampert, medical director of pain management for St. John’s Regional Health Center, was appointed by Gov. Jay Nixon to the Advisory Commission for Anesthesiologist Assistants, which works with the state board of registration for the healing arts to license and regulate anesthesiologist assistants. His term ends July 1, 2012.

Eric Latimer, Springfield Fire Department captain, was appointed by Nixon to the State Advisory Council on Emergency Medical Services, which advises on policies and proposed regulations to the emergency medical services system. His term ends Jan. 5, 2013.

Nonprofit
The Springfield-Greene County Library District was awarded two technology mini-grants totaling $22,979. A $17,199 grant will help purchase self-checkout workstations at two branches. A $5,780 grant will help upgrade the library’s videoconference equipment.

Real Estate
Eagle Management and Realty Realtor Isabelle Walker was named 2009 Realtor Broker of the Year by the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors.

Sales
Tom Tristan, national account representative at Fry-Wagner Moving & Storage Co., received United Van Lines’ Masters Club Award. Tristan was one of 124 United sales representatives to earn the honor.

Security
D&J Automatic received an Avigilon Value and Performance Leader award for success in sales, system design and customer satisfaction during the March International Security Conference and Exposition in Las Vegas.  

Technology
Wayne Dipper, member/owner of KPM Technology, was named the company’s chief operating officer. Responsibilities include day-to-day operations of KPM. Dipper is a Microsoft Certified Professional. He received his Master of Business Administration from Webster University.

Rick Mizer is member/owner at KPM Technology and now oversees network design and hardware and software support. He is a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator. Mizer is a graduate of Bryan College.

ISG Technology achieved Cisco TelePresence Commercial Partner status and can sell, design and deploy Cisco TelePresence system.
