Christopher Carson, senior project manager at Carson-Mitchell Inc. received designation as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional in building design and construction.

Jerry Jesky Jr., project manager with Scott Consulting Engineers, a division of Olsson Associates, was named Young Engineer of the Year by the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers.

Neil Brady, president and engineering manager of Anderson Engineering Inc. was inducted as treasurer of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers.  

Finance
Malcolm Green joined Waddell & Reed as a financial adviser. Green worked for Citizens National Bank in Springfield.

Ron Penney, financial adviser at Ameriprise Financial, was appointed to the company’s Chairman’s Advisory Council.

Health Care
Fordland Clinic Inc. received a $12,854 grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health to fund program evaluation and determine community needs through a market research consultant.

Missouri State University
received a $149,958 grant and Polk County Health Center in Bolivar received a $148,101 grant, both through the Missouri Foundation for Health’s Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Initiative.

Lynda Schibler was named vice president for Mission Services for St. John’s Health System. Schibler has served more than 20 years as an educator for St. John’s.

Ash Grove Healthcare and Parkview Healthcare facilities, long-term care facilities owned by Bolivar-based Citizens Memorial Healthcare, received the My InnerView Best in Class award, presented to those in the top 10 percent nationwide for customer and work force satisfaction.

Buzbee Dental Clinic hosted a continuing education class for dental professionals with the help of the Dentsply Tulsa Dental Specialties Continuing Education Program. Dr. Dennis Thompson was the guest speaker.

Media
Mark Grantin was hired as program director for Springfield radio station KTTS-FM. Grantin previously was program director and on-air personality for WBUL in Lexington, Ky.  

Nonprofit

The Springfield Rotaract elected a new board for the 2010-2011 year. Board members include: Dan Reiter, past president; Stephanie Brown, president; Weston Kissee, president-elect; Tyler Creach, treasurer; Tom Weber, sergeant; Winter Skelton, secretary; Adrienne McCoy, director of professional development; and Katie Davis, director of public relations.

The Rotary Club of Springfield Southeast elected its 2010-2011 officers. Officers include: John Horton, president; Brent Baldwin, president-elect; David Pomerenke, secretary; Mike Pruett, treasurer; Brad Toft, past president; Patrick Harrington, international service director; Ray Meyer, club service director, Denise LeBolt, community service director; and Rick Hughlett, vocational service director.

Technology
John Gunn, ISG Technology president and CEO, was one of six new members added to HP’s SMB Advisory Council.[[In-content Ad]]
