Sigma House of Springfield Inc. appointed retired professor Shirley Cooper and Ozark Mountain Newspapers advertising executive Kim Rohde to the board of directors for the organization’s recovery centers.

Julie Epperson was named district manager for Junior Achievement of Springfield, which has joined St. Louis-based Junior Achievement of Mississippi Valley Inc. as a satellite location.

Food and Beverage
Springfield DQ Grill and Chill received a PRIDE, or Personal Responsibility in Delivering Excellence, award from Dairy Queen. The award was given for the East Sunshine Street location’s performance in cleanliness and food safety.

Steve Williams joined Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Co. as branch cold drink manager. Williams, a former market category manager for Ames, Iowa-based Coca-Cola North America, manages account services in the Springfield and Bolivar territories.

Government

Fred Marty joined the city of Springfield as deputy city manager. Marty leads the re-engineering of the city’s development process and provides leadership to the Public Works Department. Marty previously served as director of administration and chief clerk in Lycoming County, Pa. He has a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Alabama.

Accountant Kristy Bork joined the city of Springfield as internal auditor. Most recently, Bork served as supervising accountant at BKD. She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Missouri State University.

Timothy B. O’Reilly, partner at O’Reilly & Jensen LLC, was appointed to a nine-person search committee for the next Missouri Department of Natural Resources director. The committee is charged with finding a candidate to promote new ideas for sustainable business practices and lead state efforts to develop renewable sources of energy.

Richard L. Miller was named coroner for Douglas County. Miller is a certified paramedic and has been working as paramedic and emergency medical technician for CoxHealth since 1992.

Insurance
David Endacott, producer at Nixon & Lindstrom Insurance, was awarded a certificate of achievement from the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. The recognition acknowledges five consecutive years active in the society.

Legal
Attorney Richard B. Maltby joined the litigation practice group at Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown PC. Maltby concentrates in construction, architectural, engineering and development law, civil and business, and real estate litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. He has a bachelor’s from Kalamazoo College of Economics and Business, and a law degree from Saint Louis University.  

Kim R. Moore was appointed general counsel at The Bank of Missouri. An MSU graduate, Moore received a juris doctor from the University of Missouri.

Manufacturing
Rita Needham, executive director of Missouri Association of Manufacturers, was elected to the board of the National Association of Manufacturers. Needham will work to develop and promote federal policies and legislation related to the industry.

Marketing
Six Reliv International distributors attended the company’s annual International Conference in St. Louis. Jim and Edith Maxwell, of Nixa; Edward and Sara Stock, of Nixa; and Thomas and R. Karleen Tutton, of Springfield, attended the conference’s workshops and educational sessions.

Military
Brig. Gen. Stephen L. Danner, adjutant general of the Missouri National Guard, was elected as an Area IV board member for the National Guard Association of the United States. His term expires in 2013. Danner represents the Missouri National Guard on a national level and works to maintain and grow service-member benefits, and equipment increases and modernization.[[In-content Ad]]
