AgricultureMissouri Beef Industry Council appointed
Glen Cope, of Aurora, as southwest Missouri Region 4 representative. He is a fourth-generation beef producer and current chairman of two Missouri Farm Bureau committees.
ArchitectureKatrina Eftink was named marketing director of H Design Group, where she manages promotion of the firm, customer relations and development. Eftink is a graduate of Missouri State University and has a bachelor’s in marketing with an emphasis on advertising and promotion.
Economic DevelopmentHollie Elliott was appointed economic development coordinator for the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. Elliott’s experience includes serving as a field representative for Sen. Kit Bond and working as a writer for American Farm Bureau publications.
FinanceJolene Elliott was promoted to assistant vice president and branch manager of Commerce Bank’s Sunshine Banking Center. Elliott has 15 years of banking experience.
Grant Q. Haden was appointed to the board of directors of Great Southern Bank and Great Southern Bancorp Inc. Haden is an attorney and managing partner of Haden, Cowherd and Bullock LLC as well as a board member and third vice chairman of the board at CoxHealth. Haden graduated from Drury University and received his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Carolina Decker joined CU Community Credit Union as vice president of lending. She worked at Commerce Bank for 29 years, most recently as senior vice president focusing on commercial lending. Decker earned a bachelor’s from MSU and an MBA from Drury.
Tanja Kern joined CU Community Credit Union as director of marketing. She has a bachelor’s in English from the University of Illinois and a master’s from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. Kern’s previous experience includes operating a public relations and copywriting firm for five years and 10 years of working in national media.
Ron Penney and
Seth Murray, financial advisers with Ameriprise Financial through Penney, Murray & Associates, were appointed to the Ameriprise Chairman’s Advisory Council based on distinguished performance and client service.
Austin Propst was promoted to senior financial analyst with BKD Corporate Finance LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of BKD LLP. He is a cum laude graduate of Missouri State University, where he earned a bachelor’s in finance and an MBA. He manages corporate finance engagements, including mergers and acquisitions, and company divestitures.
Health CareDr. Randy Curl, a physician at Jordan Valley Community Health Center, became board-certified as a family physician by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Curl joined Jordan Valley Community Health Center in 2006 and sees patients in Marshfield and Webster County. He earned his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of West Virginia.
LawJ. Robert “Bob” Penninger joined Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown PC as part of the firm’s estate planning practice group. Penninger received a bachelor’s in economics and a law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He received a master’s in estate planning law from the University of Miami.
Amanda M. Dumey joined Neale and Newman LLP as an associate with an emphasis in litigation. Dumey earned a bachelor’s in communication from MSU and received a law degree from the University of Tulsa.
Five Springfield area Polsinelli Shughart attorneys were named Best Lawyers in America, a national peer-reviewed survey of excellence in the legal field. The honorees were
Phillip R. Garrison, JoAnne Spears Jackson, Thomas J. O’Neal, Michael D. Textor and
John C. Holstein.
