Banking Derek Williams, vice president of member services at BluCurrent Credit Union, graduated from Southwest CUNA Management School in July. The three-year management program assists participants in strategic plan development and networking in the credit union industry.
Education The School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute was selected as one of 15 schools in Missouri to make the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll by the Corporation for National and Community Service.
The Missouri State University Board of Governors elected Gordon Elliott of Springfield-based Elliott Lodging LLC as chairman for the 2011–12 academic year. Other officers named were Cathy Smith, of Trenton, vice chairwoman; Steve Foucart, MSU’s interim chief financial officer, treasurer; and John McAlear, staff emeritus, secretary. Bernie Dana, associate professor and chairman of the business department at Evangel University, served as judging facilitator at a four-day meeting of the Master Examiners for the National Quality Award Program presented by the American Health Care Association in Albuquerque, N.M. Dana worked as an executive and consultant in the long-term care profession for 28 years before joining the Evangel faculty in 2001.
