Government The Institute of Transportation Engineers recognized the Transportation Management Center of the Ozarks with the Transportation Achievement Award for Facilities at its annual meeting and exhibit. Its 11,500-square-foot facility, which was developed by the city of Springfield and the Missouri Department of Transportation and opened earlier this year, is expected to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards.
Greene County Assessor Rick Kessinger was elected 2012 vice president of the Missouri State Assessors Association during an annual conference in Branson.
Health Care CoxHealth received the Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart and Stroke Associations for the second year in a row. CoxHealth is one of 91 health systems in the nation to receive the honor.
