Central Trust & Investment Co. Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager Ken Homan achieved the Certified Investment Management Analyst certification by Investment Management Consultants Association.

Homan, who has worked as a portfolio manager for more than 30 years, met IMCA’s experience and ethical requirements and successfully completed advanced investment management consulting coursework through The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania.

Health Care
CoxHealth added Drs. Kathleen Fiegen, CoxHealth Pediatrics; Maria Spurling, Cox Family Medicine Residency; and Rachel Winston, CoxHealth Adult and Pediatric Urgent Care. The health system also hired Nurse Practitioner Brooke Fair at CoxHealth Medical Clinic of Willow Springs.

Mercy and its supply-chain company, Resource Optimization & Innovation, were recognized as the No. 2 global supply chain in the health care industry in the Gartner Healthcare Supply Chain Top 25. Mercy and ROI have been ranked in the top three each of the three years information technology research and advisory firm Gartner Inc. has published its list.

Francie Bunch and Rhonda Orrell, registered dieticians for the Smith Glynn Callaway Clinic, achieved Certified Diabetes Educator status from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators.

Law
Strong, Bauer & Garner PC attorneys Tom Strong, Steve Garner, Jeff Bauer and Neil Chanter were listed in The Best Lawyers in America, a legal peer review publication. For the second year in a row, Garner was named the city’s Lawyer of the Year in the Personal Injury Litigation category for plaintiffs, based on surveys completed by area attorneys. Strong, who is now retired, has been recognized by the publication in each of its 18 years.

Teresa Baird joined Baird, Lightner, Millsap & Harpool PC practicing estate planning and trust administration, probate litigation, and corporate, nonprofit and intellectual property law. She worked previously at Fairfield and Woods PC in Denver, and graduated from St. Louis University School of Law.

Marketing
White Water theme park received the Brass Ring Award for Print Advertising at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo in Orlando, Fla. The park also was recognized recently with Best Billboard and Best Brochure at the World Waterpark Association Symposium in New Orleans.

The Missouri Association for Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing presented CoxHealth with six Show-Me Excellence Awards at the Missouri Hospital Association’s annual convention and trade show. CoxHealth won first place in the Web site category for CoxHealth Intranet and second place in the print advertising category for its Salute to Nurses ad.[[In-content Ad]]
