Lee Borkowski was hired to lead the Kansas City sales office of Springfield-based pugert.com. Borkowski is responsible for all sales, service and support of this branch.
He has eight years of human resource-related experience and holds a bachelor of science degree in business and marketing from Eastern Illinois University. Before joining pugert.com, Borkowski was a major accounts district manager with Automatic Data Processing.
Lance Crayton was promoted to general manager of the St. Louis office of pugert.com. Prior to his promotion, Crayton served as vice president of sales for Axiom Partners Payroll Network in the Springfield office. He began working at the St. Louis office April 3.
Brian Rohlena was named director of the Springfield office of Primary Network, an independent provider of telephone and Internet services.
As director, Rohlena is responsible for developing and expanding the customer base for high-speed Internet and telecommunications services in Springfield and surrounding areas.

The winners of New Horizon's Computer Learning Center's CompTia A+ Certification Scholarship are Brett Ruth, Glendale High School; Joe Gilden, Central High School; Brent Slane, Kickapoo High School; Chris Kirkpatrick, Hillcrest High School; and Jason Grace, Parkview High School.
The program is a five-day software and hardware fundamentals class designed for Springfield Public Schools.
NetWorks Inc. ranked No. 1 in overall customer satisfaction in the nation by Compaq Computer Corporation. NetWorks is an authorized service provider for Compaq. The ranking is out of 184 ASPs.
Jason O'Dell, Universal Systems House training manager, completed exam requirements for Certified Novell Engineer. The CNE designation is a global information technology industry benchmark for denoting networking expertise and multi-vendor support.
Angela Turnbow, Universal Systems House instructor/consultant, completed the exam requirements for Microsoft Office User Specialist Expert on Microsoft Word '97.
The MOUSE designation qualified Turnbow as an expert with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook.
Dr. Kristene S. Sutliff, assistant head of the English department and coordinator of technical writing at SMSU, was named a fellow of the Society for Technical Communication, the society's highest rank.
The society was cited her for persistence and imagination in the development of academic technical communication programs.
The Missouri Department of Insurance was given an A for excellent services available to consumers on its Web site by the Consumer Federation of America. Missouri was singled out by the department for posting complaint information about the largest number of insurance policy types.
SBC Communications Inc. was named the American Society on Aging's 2000 Business of the Year for its leadership in helping senior citizens become technology savvy and providing services that educate and empower seniors.
