New York Times sued by Trump campaign

Posted online

President Donald Trump's re-election campaign has filed suit against The New York Times.

The lawsuit alleges libel in a March 2019 opinion piece by Max Frankel, a former executive editor of the Times.

A Times spokesperson said the Trump campaign “has turned to the courts to try to punish an opinion writer for having an opinion they find unacceptable.”
