New York Times reaches AI deal with Amazon

The New York Times has entered a multiyear artificial intelligence deal with Amazon.

Through the licensing deal, Amazon will use Times articles to train its AI models. Amazon also will include summaries and short excerpts of Times' content in Alexa and other products.

The New York Times previously sued Microsoft and OpenAI for copyright infringement related to their alleged use of the publication's content to train their AI models.
