New York, New York-based Tree Guardians, a national residential and commercial tree care platform, is merging two local businesses that it purchased this year.
Tree Guardians acquired Nixa-based Cherokee Tree Care last month and Springfield-based All About Trees in July, and now the two businesses are joining forces with All About Trees as the combined company's name, said Sarah Bessette, chief marketing officer for Tree Guardians. The decisions were first detailed in a series of news releases starting with the acquisition of All About Trees, followed by the most recent about the merger issued this month.
"Both owners, Noel Boyer and Tim Crews, have a fantastic partnership and relationship and were excited about wanting to join forces to support a larger geography and provide additional and more robust services, through blending their exceptional teams and industry experience," Bessette said via email. "All About Trees is now more than 27 employees and growing after the partnership."
Bessette declined to disclose revenues or purchase prices.
Boyer founded All About Trees in 2005, and he continues as president. Crews, who started Cherokee Tree Care in 2014, is now vice president of All About Trees, said Bessette.
"Cherokee Tree Care is the perfect partner for All About Trees. Tim Crews introduced me to arboriculture back in 1995, and since then we have been co-workers, industry trainers, friendly competitors and actual friends," Boyer said in the release. "This partnership will allow us to combine our 70-plus years of industry experience to provide our customers in Springfield, Nixa and surrounding areas with cutting-edge modern arboriculture."
Tree Guardians, which was founded by Halle Capital in 2023, will be behind the scenes locally, said Bessette.
“We are a partner at the business level, behind the scenes, to support the local business with the resources they need to provide the best customer experience to their residents and businesses,” Bessette said.
