New York Attorney General Barbara Underwood is reportedly beefing up staff as she ramps up her investigation of T-Mobile's proposed merger with Sprint.
The concern, according to sources familiar with the matter, is the merger would cause a cost increase for T-Mobile’s MetroPCS service and Sprint’s Boost and Virgin Mobile. The services are said to be among the most competitive in the industry.
Underwood launched her probe weeks after T-Mobile and Sprint announced the proposed $27 billion deal in April.
