A newly established hotel brand from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Inc. (NYSE: WH) is coming to Springfield's northwest side by way of a Miami, Florida, investment management firm.
David Harari, founder and CEO of Bloom Ventures, said a February 2026 opening is planned for his company's new $13.5 million Echo Suites hotel at 3471 W. Kearney St. in Springfield. The hotel is being built from the ground up near Springfield-Branson National Airport.
"The hotel is a protype model for Wyndham which has 300-plus of these opening in the next 36 months around the U.S.," Harari said via email.
Osage Beach-based Thomas Construction is serving as general contractor for the 50,000-square-foot Echo Suites hotel, said Harari.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Echo Suites hotel is scheduled March 5, said Harari. It was rescheduled from Feb. 13 due to inclement weather.
The site is located immediately adjacent to Bloom Ventures' La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield Airport Plaza, which the company purchased in 2022. That purchase marked Bloom Ventures' first hotel outside of Florida, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
"We believe there is a great synergy of having an extended stay hotel next door," Harari said.
The Echo Suites extended stay brand opened its first hotel in Spartanburg, South Carolina, last year, according to reporting by Hotel Dive.
