New winery planned for Branson

Posted online
Branson Ridge Winery LLC has plans for an approximately $8.1 million winery in Branson, designed by Springfield architecture firm Bates & Associates Inc.

Designed to draw visitors who want to learn about Missouri wines, including how grapes are grown and the wines are produced, the facility is a stone barn with a circa-1890s feel and an Americana barn reminiscent of the style in 1918.

Branson Ridge Winery will have a museum, an exhibition kitchen, specialty market, winery grounds, bistro, event facilities and a grocery with a circa-1930s design. Engineers for the project are Colvin Jones Davis LLC, Wells & Scaletty LLC and Anderson Engineering Inc., with land planning by Bill Yung. Nabholz Construction Co. is the general contractor for the winery, scheduled for completion in spring 2009.
