New Warrensburg plant will supply GM Fairfax

Southfield, Mich.-based Janesville Acoustics is investing $13.4 million to build a new 155,000-square-foot facility in Warrensburg.

The Kansas City Business Journal reports the new facility will supply parts to the General Motors Fairfax Assembly Plant in Kansas City and will create 164 new full-time jobs.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development will supply Janesville Acoustics with a strategic economic incentives package.

The Warrensburg facility will create specialized carpets and other general acoustic insulators for the Chevrolet Malibu.
