New Sprint CEO kills the 'framily' plan

A mere week into his new job as CEO of Overland Park, Kan.-based Sprint Corp. (NYSE: S), Marcelo Claure on Monday introduced several pricing plan changes for the company, including the axing of its “Framily” plan.

The plan to kill the “framily” garnered cheers from hundreds of staff members who had gathered for the carrier’s block party, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

Among the new plans, Sprint will offer up to 10 lines, 20 gigabytes of shared data and unlimited talk and text for $100 a month.
