The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement takes effect on Wednesday.
Replacing the North American Free Trade Agreement, the deal includes new protections for intellectual property, prohibitions against currency manipulation and tighter content rules for automobiles.
Still, as the deal kicks in, the Trump administration is threatening Canada with new aluminum tariffs. Additionally, there are hundreds of legal challenges to Mexico’s new labor law.
