New leader takes The Whitlock Co. reins

The Whitlock Co., a certified public accounting and consulting firm, has elected Joe Page as the company's managing partner, effective June 1.

Page succeeds Dave Myers, who has worked since 2002 as the firm's managing partner, the highest post with the company.

"It's something that we've been planning for about two years now," Page said, noting he and Myers have been working together to ease the transition for about a year.

Myers, who wanted to return to a role in client service, will stay on as one of the firm's six partners, Page said.

Page started as senior auditor with The Whitlock Co. in 1994 and was named a partner in 2004.

The Whitlock Co., founded in 1913 as accounting firm Roper and Atkins, is based in Springfield and operates an office in Joplin.[[In-content Ad]]
