New Ikea furniture will charge your phone wirelessly

How many times have your tossed your phone onto your coffee table or night stand and then walked off and left it there overnight? How many times have you retrieved your phone the next morning and found it fully charged?
 
If you buy furniture from Ikea, that could be the new norm in your house. The Swedish furniture retailer is introducing a line of tables and lamps that will wirelessly charge smartphones and tablets, according to CNNMoney.
 
The upside: No more fishing around for chargers and chords when your device's battery is flagging. The downside: Most currently owned devices don't support wireless charging. Oh, and the furniture still has to be plugged in.
