New HQ in the works for Toth and Associates

Toth and Associates Inc. is planning an August move to a new headquarters on Republic Road.

The electrical, structural and civil engineering firm is relocating to 1550 E. Republic Road, a building previously occupied by Netsmart Technologies Inc. and McKesson Corp. before that, said President Adam Toth.

"We ran out of space," he said of Toth and Associates’ 830 E. Primrose St., Ste. 200, office.

Toth said the company’s ownership group behind Toth and Associates used a separate LLC to buy the 50,000-square-foot building on Republic Road. He declined to disclose the purchase price. Greene County recorder data show the building sold March 2 to TA Investments LLC, with the seller listed as Buckner Industrial Co. LLC. A $7.6 million note amount related to the purchase is listed between TA Investments and Mid-Missouri Bank, according to assessor records.

Toth and Associates plans to occupy 35,000 square feet, with the remaining 15,000 square feet available for lease.

Infill work is underway, with Carson-Mitchell Inc. serving as general contractor and Sapp Design Associates Architects PC hired on as architect, Toth said. He noted R.B. Murray Co. brokered the deal. Toth declined to disclose the company’s investment in the infill work, and permits on file with the city do not show an estimate.

"We've gutted it all the way down to nothing," Toth said. "We're filling back in our space how we want it.

"It also gives us room for growth."

Toth said the company currently has 109 employees and would add staff with the headquarters expansion.

Recent projects for Toth and Associates include the Adah Fulbright Early Childhood Center and Mid-Missouri Bank's new headquarters.

Netsmart, a health information technology software company based in Overland Park, Kansas, vacated the Republic Road building when it consolidated local operations to 1959 E. Kerr St., according to past reporting.
