New Fitbit is giving people an itchy, red rash

Meet the new Fitbit, same as the old Fitbit - at least when it comes to providing its wearer with an itchy, red rash to go along with a running log of how many steps taken or how hard the heart beats.
 
Fitbit, the company, issued a statement to Business Insider stating Fitbits, the fitness bracelets, aren't really to blame for the skin irritation experienced by some users, but rather can be blamed on user error: Namely, wearing the Fitbit too tightly or allowing sweat or other substances to be trapped between the strap and the skin.
 
This isn't a new problem for Fitbits, the report states. In 2014, Fitbit recalled some products because of complaints of rashes. The recall didn't soothe the rash of complaints, however. A class-action lawsuit was brought against Fitbit, alleging the company didn't do enough to alert the 1 million wearers to the recall.
