New FDIC chair sworn in

New Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Chairwoman Jelena McWilliams was sworn in Tuesday.

McWilliams, President Donald Trump’s nominee for the job, succeeds Martin Gruenberg, the FDIC’s chairman since 2012.

A member of the FDIC board since 2005, Gruenberg could stay on as vice chairman.
