Maps are provided for each Missouri county and show 2000 U.S. Census data, such as poverty levels and population, for each county’s different block groups. That data is part of the statutory formula used to shape an EEZ, according to a news release. The maps also help determine if a proposed area is contiguous, a requirement for the EEZ program.

EEZs are specified geographic areas designated by local governments that have the potential to create sustainable jobs in a targeted industry and have demonstrated impact on local cluster development, the release said. New or expanding businesses located within an EEZ are eligible for state tax credits.
