A new acai bowl concept called Fusion Eatz is making its way to Battlefield Mall.
Fusion Eatz is scheduled to open in March, according to Amanda Estes, general manager of Battlefield Mall.
The concept is taking over 2,582 square feet that previously housed Moe’s Southwest Grill at the exterior east side of the mall. The latter restaurant, brought to town in 2014 by a Five Guys Burgers and Fries franchisee, shuttered in October 2020, Estes said.
Rima Walker is behind Fusion Eatz, which she said would offer acai bowls, wraps and rice bowls. She has previous food service industry experience with Strafford’s The Wildseed, a restaurant that closed in 2022. She said more details about Fusion Eatz would be available closer to its targeted opening date.
The store site at Battlefield Mall is located between Five Guys and Kendra Scott LLC.
Plaza Shopping Center gained an arcade with the March 1 opening of The Flying Lap LLC; the repurposing of space operated by Burrell Behavioral Health resulted in the March 18 opening of the company’s second autism center; and a group of downtown business owners teamed up to reopen J.O.B. Public House.
