Nevada has filed suit against Kalshi in an attempt to block the prediction market operator from doing business in the state.
Nevada is seeking to become the second state to block Kalshi from offering sports event contracts. Massachusetts is the first.
The Nevada Gaming Control Board's lawsuit came the same day that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission issued support for companies like Kalshi. The CFTC argues that Kalshi has exclusive jurisdiction over prediction markets.
