Netflix teen comedy boosts yogurt maker's sales

Dairy producer Yakult Honsha Co. is reaping the benefits of product placement in a new Netflix teen comedy.

While its Yakult yogurt product is not mentioned by name in the film “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before," characters can be seen drinking it.

Twitter users have reported shortages of the product as customers flock to buy it, and the company's stock has climbed.
