Netflix added 9.6 million new paying subscribers in the first quarter. That's a record for a single quarter.
The streaming service reported earnings of $344 million, or 76 cents per share, above the 64 cents posted a year earlier.
Revenue rose to $4.5 billion from $3.7 billion.
