Netflix partners with SoftBank for Japan launch

Netflix has partnered with Japanese telecommunication and Internet giant SoftBank to launch its video-streaming service in Japan.

According to CNBC, SoftBank customers would have the ability to sign up for Netflix via the Japanese company's shops, website and call centers, as well as major electronics retailers.

Starting it October, Softbank also will preinstall the Netflix app on its smartphones.
