Netflix hit with lawsuits over subscriber shortfall

Netflix has been hit with at least two lawsuits that are seeking class-action status.

The investor lawsuits allege Netflix violated Securities and Exchange Commission guidelines by failing to disclose information about the company's shortfall in quarterly subscribers.

The company reported a net gain of 2.7 million subscribers worldwide, which was down from the 5 million it projected.
