Netflix hired former ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey as its vice president of original content.
Known for firing Roseanne Barr and developing hits such as “Scandal” and “The Good Doctor,” Dungey is tasked with overseeing “a large and crucial portion” of Netflix’s series in the newly created position.
Dungey will report to Cindy Holland, the company’s longtime original series head, and split the day-to-day management of half of Holland’s existing group of executives.
